A Few of My Favorite Things Spread

Yesterday I found a lovely tarot spread on IG, created by Magpietarot and it's called: A few of my favorite things spread". I thought it would be fun to try it out here and I chose the Crystal Visions Tarot to do this. You have to separate the Minor Arcana into suits. Than shuffle your little stacks and pull one card from each suit to answer the questions below. I also pulled one card from the Majors because I didn’t want them to feel left out.
From the Wands: Where does my confidence shine?  Eight of Wands – Wnen I am on a roll and everything is going my way.  I don’t mind doing a lot as long as all the horses are running in the same direction. Then I feel like I am the queen of the world
From the Cups: What brings me joy? Queen of Cups.  Very simple but not so easy: To love and be loved and feel connected to  God(dess)
From the Swords: Where do I feel wise? Four of Swords – Haha, that is a good one! When I take a time out when I need it and not when it is already long overdue.
From the Pentacles: What makes me feel safe & secure? Eight of Pentacles – When I do the work and stay in the moment. Whether it is painting a picture or doing the dishes.
From the Majors: Which underlying energy will make it all possible? The Hanged Man. To let go of all ideas about what I think I should do and try to live more in the here and now, where I might see things from a fresh point a view.

  1. It is interesting and educational to try different spreads. They help define answers and bring a depth and new perspective to some of the cards. I will give this one a go.

  4. This is great -- I like the addition of the Major Arcana card for underlying energy. Must give this a try!

  5. I will give this a go. Like you I tend to read quickly with three or more cards.

The rainbow next to the hanged man is nice....

    1. The Eight of Pentacles was not the card I had expected in this position so that was a welcome and grounding energy for me :)

    2. Stop by the blog for my reading using the spread. I added an extra step - the Quintessential Card.

Yours for this reading would be 9 - The Hermit, giving your cards an overall theme of looking within, finding your inner guidance.

      Best wishes. :)

  8. I could relate to that Eight of Wands - being in full swing of a creative project is exciting and fun. And the Four of Swords made me think of nature walks that I can so full immerse myself in that I lay down my worries and problems for a bit. :) Cool spread!

    1. Thanks! I know how relaxing those walks can be. Often it is easier to relax while being active than by doing nothing 💕☺

  9. I love this - very succinct and yet very profound! I like the image of the woman spinning at a wheel on the 8 of Pentacles....... I associate you with spinning, so it seems very appropriate ;)

    1. Learned a new word to day: succinct.
It sure is. I loved to spin my own yarn when I was younger. I have a beautiful spinning wheel in the attic because sadly enough nowadays it hurts my hand too much. So no more spinning for me

  10. What a gorgeous spread! That Eight of Pentacles made me think of your bread making :) I'd have struggled with the Queen of Cups, but your interpretation felt just right!
